We are regularly asked if there is a good Dutch manual for Elasticsearch<\/a> to install. The steps that need to be taken are simple if done in the correct order. This blog describes the installation of Elasticsearch and Kibana step by step.<\/p>\n

To begin, ensure a clean installation of Ubuntu Linux. We used the following ISO \/ version: ubuntu-16.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\t\t<\/div> \n\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div> \n<\/div><\/div>

Install Elasticsearch<\/h2>\n

\n\t\t

Elasticsearch can be installed with the following commands and steps.<\/p>\n

wget <\/span>\u2013<\/span>Co <\/span>\u2013<\/span> https<\/span>:\/\/<\/span>artefacts<\/span>.<\/span>elastic<\/span>.<\/span>co<\/span>\/<\/span>GPG<\/span>\u2013<\/span>KEY<\/span>\u2013<\/span>Elasticsearch <\/span>|<\/span> sudo apt<\/span>\u2013<\/span>add key <\/span>\u2013<\/span><\/p>\n

2. sudo apt<\/span>\u2013<\/span>sudo apt install<\/span>\u2013<\/span>Transport<\/span>\u2013<\/span>https<\/span><\/p>\n

3. echo <\/span>\u201cdeb https:\/\/artifacts.elastic.co\/packages\/7.x\/apt stable main\u201d<\/span> |<\/span> sudo tee <\/span>\u2013<\/span>a <\/span>\/<\/span>etc<\/span>\/<\/span>apt<\/span>\/<\/span>Sources<\/span>.<\/span>list<\/span>.<\/span>d<\/span>\/<\/span>elastic<\/span>\u2013<\/span>7.x<\/span>.<\/span>list<\/span><\/p>\n

4. sudo apt<\/span>\u2013<\/span>Get update <\/span>&&<\/span> sudo apt<\/span>\u2013<\/span>sudo apt-get install elasticsearch<\/span><\/p>\n

Elasticsearch is now installed. It can be started with the following command:<\/p>\n

Now that Elasticsearch is installed, Kibana can be installed.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0sudo apt<\/span>\u2013<\/span>Get update <\/span>&&<\/span> sudo apt<\/span>\u2013<\/span>sudo apt-get install kibana<\/span><\/p>\n

7. sudo systemctl start kibana.service<\/p>\n

Start the web browser now and go to localhost:5601. The Kibana screen should now appear. Good luck!<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
